Mukesh Khanna has expressed strong disapproval of Ranveer Allahbadia following his India’s Got Latent joke. He suggests that the podcaster should be made to sit on a donkey with his face painted black and tour the nation. This statement comes as Allahbadia faces significant backlash for making a distasteful joke during his appearance on Samay Raina’s show.
Mukesh Khanna takes a jibe at Ranveer Allahbadia
In a video on his YouTube channel, Bheeshma International, Khanna stated, “This is a serious offense that should not be taken lightly. Offenders must face harsh consequences to deter others from making such vulgar and irresponsible comments. People need to ask themselves, ‘What has happened to our country?’”
Khanna went on to discuss Allahbadia’s previous work, acknowledging his accomplishments but criticizing his recent comments regarding parents and sex. He further stated, “If someone were to ask me what should be done, I would say he should be caught and punished. Make him sit on a donkey with his face painted black and have him tour the nation.”
The veteran actor emphasized that today’s youth enjoys excessive freedom under the guise of Freedom of Expression. He said, “There should be boundaries, even in terms of freedom of expression.” He condemned the atmosphere surrounding the incident, noting, “I watched the video and was appalled by the shameful remarks made, followed by laughter from those present. No one objected to his comments.” Khanna added, “If I were Shaktimaan, I would drag him and throw him into the universe.”
Khanna also criticized the use of inappropriate jokes in the name of roasting, asserting, “Nothing morally objectionable should be permitted.” He lamented the lack of Moral Science as a subject in schools today, “Who decided this? Is it any wonder that youths behave this way?”
He insisted that there is a significant distinction between comedy and vulgarity, a line that is continually being crossed. Khanna urged the audience to reject such content and warned that without public pushback, government intervention might become necessary. “No one should be allowed to make vulgar statements under the guise of comedy,” he declared, adding that platforms like YouTube should not be used for generating income through indecency.
Mukesh Khanna on Vir Das
Khanna also took a swipe at comedian Vir Das. Mukesh recalled a previous incident in which Das made inappropriate remarks on an international platform. He had previously called for him to be punished, expressing frustration that no action was taken at that time.
